Ingredients
1 lb italian sausage browned, casing removed
8 oz smoked bacon chopped, browned, drained
4 c water
2 - 14-1/2 oz cans chicken broth
2 lg russet potatoes, scrubbed and cubed
2 cloves garlic, crushed
1 med onion chopped
2 cups chopped kale or swiss chard
1 cup heavy cream.
Preparation
Combine water, broth, potatoes, garlic and onions and simmer over medium heat until potatoes are tender for 10-15 min.
Add sausage and bacon and simmer 10 min.
Add 2 cups chopped kale ior swiss chard and 1 cup heavy cream. Simmer until heated through. Do not allow to boil
