Ingredients

1C butter

1C oil

1C brown sugar

1Cgranulated sugar

1 large egg

1tsp vanilla

31/2 C all purpose flour

1C crushed corn flakes

1C old-fashioned oats

½ C shredded coconut

½ C chopped nuts (pecans are tasty)

1 tsp salt

1 tsp baking soda

Preparation

  1. Oven at 325
  2. Cream butter, oil, sugars, egg and vanilla in mixer.
  3. Mix remaining ingredients in separate bowl, add to butter mixture spoon by spoon.
  4. Roll dough into walnut size pieces. Place on un- greased cookie sheets. Flatten to ¼ inch with a glass bottom dipped in water.
  5. Bake until you like them, 8-12 minutes depending on how brown you prefer. I do 8-9 minutes.
