quarts apple cider

quart cranberry-apple drink

1/3

cup packed brown sugar

1

cup fresh orange juice

2

cinnamon sticks (3 inch)

1

teaspoon whole cloves

Orange slices, if desired

Preparation

In 6-quart stockpot, stir together all ingredients except orange slices. Heat to simmering (do not boil). Simmer uncovered 20 minutes, stirring occasionally. Strain; discard cinnamon sticks and cloves. Serve cider hot. Garnish with orange slices.
