Ingredients

2 envelopes gelatin

2 cups water

1 cup wine (Port)-buy at least a mid priced bottle of Port

1 cup sugar

1 lemon (juice)

whipped cream

sugar, to taste

Preparation

  1. Soak gelatin in 1 cup cold water.
  2. Dissolve sugar & soaked gelatin in 1 cup boiling water.
  3. Add wine & lemon juice.
  4. Strain into molds, sherbert glasses, or large serving bowl & refrigerate until firm.
  5. Serve with sweetened whipped cream.
