Ingredients

1 1/2 lb red onions, thinly sliced

1/2 cup vegetable oil

1/2 cup white vinegar

1/2 cup water

1/2 tsp pepper

2 tsp salt

1 tbsp sugar

3 drops tabasco

Preparation

Put onions in a ceramic or glass bowl. Bring other ingredients to a boil. Pour over onions and let stand. When cool, refrigerate overnight.
