Ingredients

3 T Oil

2 Onions (chopped)

4-6 Garlic cloves (minced)

2-3 Bouillon cubes

1 lb. Ground beef

1.5 lbs Marinated flap meat

1 32oz. Can whole tomatoes

1 16oz. Can diced tomatoes

1 32oz. Can refried beans

1 can tomato paste

1 can beer

9 t chili powder

1 can minced chilies

2 t salt

1/2 t ground red pepper

1/2 t pepper

2-3 bay leaves

For Carne Asada Marinade:

1 cup cheap salsa

1/2 Onion

3 Garlic Cloves

1 T salt

1/2 T pepper

1 Handful cilantro

1/4 C vegetable oil

Preparation

Marinate flap meat in carne asada marinade for 1-2 days before making chili (blend carne asada ingredients in a blender and combine with meat in a zip-lock bag).

Saute 1 diced onion in oil until brown. Add ground beef and brown. Drain excess oil. add minced garlic and saute for 2-3 minutes. Add remaining ingredients, except for flap meat. BBQ the carne asada, chop into small pieces and add to simmering chili. Simmer for 3 hours and eat.
