1 1/4 cups water (70 to 80 degrees F)
2 tablespoons honey
2 tablespoons butter or margarine, softened
1 1/4 teaspoons salt
2 tablespoons nonfat dry milk powder
1 3/4 cups bread flour
1 cup whole wheat flour
1/3 cup quick-cooking oats
1 1/4 teaspoons active dry yeast
Preparation
1.Proof the yeast, water and salt for about 5-10 min. Add honey. Place all the other dry ingredients in the Kitchen Aid mixer with bread hook. Mix the dry ingredients for a minute and add the other wet ingredients to this. 2. Cover bowl with a damp towel and let rise until doubled. Punch down and place in a loaf pan. Let rise until it looks like a loaf should (about 30 to 45 min.). Bake at 350 for about 25 min.
