Ingredients
4-6 CHICKEN BREASTS, COOKED & SHREDDED
1 LB. GREAT NORTHERN WHITE BEANS, COOKED OR 1 LARGE JAR OR 6 SMALL CANS (I personally prefer to cook my own beans but have also done the small cans)
6 CUPS CHICKEN BROTH (3 CANS)
2 CLOVES GARLIC, CHOPPED
2 MEDIUM ONIONS, CHOPPED
1 T. OIL
1/4 t CAYENNE PEPPER
2 (4 OZ) CANS GREEN CHILIS, CHOPPED
1 1/2 t OREGANO
1/4 t CUMIN
Preparation
SAUTE ONIONS AND GARLIC IN OIL UNTIL TENDER. COMBINE ALL INGREDIENTS IN LARGE STOCK POT AND SIMMER FOR 1-2 HOURS. SERVE TOPPED WITH SHREDDED CHEESE AND SOUR CREAM.
IF YOU LIKE A LITTLE MORE SPICE LIKE I DO I ALSO ADD A SMALL 4 OUNCE CAN OF CHOPPED JALAPENOS TO THE ABOVE INGREDIENTS OR JUST SERVE THE JALAPENOS SEPARATELY.
