Ingredients

1 T. butter

8 oz very sharp cheddar cheese, grated

1/2 t. salt

1/4 t. powdered mustard

Several grains cayenne pepper

1/4- 1/2 cup beer

1 egg, beaten

Toasted bread

Preparation

In a saucepan, melt cheese and butter together

Add seasonings

Gradually add beer as cheese melts.

Stir constantly

Add beaten egg and cook until thick.

Serve over toast
