Ingredients
1 baked 9 inch pie shell
4 c (1 quart) strawberries
3/4 cup water
3/4 cup sugar
3 Tbsp cornstarch
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 cup whipping cream
1 Tbsp sugar (to sweeten cream)
Preparation
Crush 1 cup berries,add water & simmer 3 min.Strain juice from cooked berries.Add water if needed to make 1 cup.Reserve.Combine sugar, cornstarch, & salt.Add strawberry juice and cook till clear.Cool slightly.Arrange remaining strawberries in baked crust.Spoon glaze over berries and chill.Serve with sweetened whipped cream.
