Ingredients

1/2 c. walnuts

1 c. sifted flour

1/4 c. brown sugar

1/3 c. butter

3 oz. cream cheese

1 large egg

1 can pumpkin (1 lb.)

1 can sweetened condensed milk

1 tsp. pumpkin pie spice

1/2 tsp. salt

1 c. hot water

Preparation

Chop walnuts medium fine. Combine flour & brown sugar. Cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse meal, add walnuts. Press firmly into an even layer over bottom of 6 x 10" baking dish. Bake at 350 degrees for about 20 mins. until lightly browned.

Beat softened cream cheese and egg. Add pumpkin, sweetened condensed milk, spice & salt. Beat until smooth. Stir in hot water. Pour into crust and return to oven. Bake approximately 50 mins. longer, or until filling is barely set in center.
