Ingredients
2 1/2 cups all purpose flour
2 1/2 cups sugar
1/2 cup Hershey’s Cocoa powder
1 tsp McCormick nutmeg
2 tsp baking soda
1/4 cup brandy or congac
2 cups milk
3 eggs slightly beaten
1 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
1 stick butter
1/2 cup shortening
1 container Duncan Hines Milk Chocolate frosting
Preparation
Set oven to 350 degrees
Combine flour, sugar, cocoa powder, nutmeg and baking soda.
Melt shortening, add butter, milk, brandy and vanilla. Add to dry ingredients and mix until combined. Beat on high for 2 minutes. Add eggs and beat on medium for 2 minutes.
Pour into greased and floured 12 cup bunt pan. Bake for 40-45 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean.
Let cool 15 minutes. Remove from pan. Let cool completely befroe frosting.
