Ingredients

2/3 cup brown sugar packed

1/2 cup canned pumpkin

1 whole egg

2 egg whites

2 tbs cooking oil

1 cup all-purpose flour

1 tsp baking powder

1 tsp unsweetened cocoa powder

1/2 tsp ground cinnamon

1/2 tsp ground allspice

1/4 tsp salt

1/4 tsp ground nutmeg

1/3 cup miniature semisweet chocolate pieces

Preparation

In a large mixing bowl, combine brown sugar, pumpkin, egg, egg whites and oil. Bet with an electric mixer on medium speed until blended. Add flour, baking powder, cocoa powder, cinnamon, allspice, salt and nutmeg. Beat on low speed until smooth. Stir in chocolate pieces. Lightly oil an 11x7x1.5 inch baking pan. Pour batter into pan. Spread evenly. Bake at 350 degrees 15-20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted near center comes out clean. Cool in pan on wire rack. Cut into 2-inch squares.
