Ingredients

3 cups vidalia onions or other sweet onions chopped finely.

1 cup water

1 cup sugar

1/2 cup cider or white vinegar

3/4 Hellman’s mayonnaise

1 tsp celery seed

Preparation

Marinate chopped onions in water, sugar and vinegar. Regrigerate overnight and then drain and dry very well by blotting dry on paper towels. Mix together mayo and celery seed. Add to onions and mix well. Serve with crackers.
