Ingredients

1 1/2 teaspoons of vanilla

8 ounces of dark brown sugar, about 1 cup firmly packed

1/2 cup freshly squeezed lime juice

pinch of kosher salt

1 whole pineabble

Preparation

Add the vanilla to a sauce pan with the brown sugar, lime juice and salt. Whisk together place the mixture over medium high heat and bring to a boil, stirring until the sugar has dissolved. Remove from heat and let it sit for about 2 hours. Cut the Pineapple into eights lengthwise, paint the sauce on the pineapple and put on the grill. Can add more sauce after the pineapple is brown.
