Ingredients

3 cups confectioners usgar

9 Tbls (1 stick) unsalted butter

2 Tbls milk, plus more if needed

1 tsp vanilla extract

Pinch of kosher salt

Preparation

  1. In the bowl of an electric mixer fitted with the flat beater, beat together the sugar, butter, 2 Tbls of milk, vanilla and salt on low speed until combined (about 1 minute).

  2. Stop the mixer and scrape down the sides of the bowl.

  3. Increase the speed to medium and beat until fluffy, about 3 minutes.

  4. If the frosting is dry, add more milk, 1 tsp at a tim, until it is creamy but still holds peaks.
