Ingredients

4-5 medium/large bananas

1 stick of butter

2 eggs

1/2 Cup brown sugar

1/2 Cup raw cane sugar

2 Cups flour

1 tsp baking soda

1/2 tsp salt

Crisco shortening

Preparation

  • Mix well the bananas, butter, eggs, and sugar in a mixing bowl.
  • Add flour, baking soda, and salt. *Optional - Add up to 1 Cup walnuts or small chocolate chips.
  • Grease the bread pan(s) with crisco. (Do not substitute Pam cooking spray or the like.)
  • Spoon into a long bread pan or a medium and a small one. *Optional - Sprinkle on top some raw cane sugar to give the bread a sweet crust.
  • Bake at 325 degrees for 45-90 min until an inserted toothpick comes out dry. The smaller (1 lb) pans will cook in about 45 min the larger pans will take longer.
