Ingredients

1 tsp olice oil

1 cup chopped onion

4 garlic cloves, minced

1/2 c. dry red wine OR 2 tbsp. balsamic vinegar

1 tbsp sugar

1 tbsps chopped fresh or 2 tsps dried basil

2 tbsps tomato paste

1/2 tsp dried italian seasoning

1/4 tsp black pepper

2 (14.5 oz) cans diced tomatoes, undrained

2 tbsps chopped fresh parsley

Preparation

Heat oil in a saucepan or large skillet over medium-high heat. Ad onion and garlic; suate 5 mins. Stir in wine and next 6 ingredients (wine through tomatoes), and bring to boil. Reduce heat to medium and cook, uncovered, about 15 mins. Stir in parsley. Svg: 1 cup; calories 126
