Ingredients
500g butter
1 cup (250ml) brown sugar
1 cup white sugar
2 large eggs
2 tsp salt
2 tbs vanilla extract
3 cups plain flour
1 cup oats (powdered in a mixer)
500g dark chocolate (80% if possible)
Walnuts - if you want
Preparation
Cream butter and sugar till light and fluffy.
Add eggs, salt and vanilla. Beat.
Add flour and oats (which you’ve powdered in a mixer).
Break chocolate into chunks - and add to mix (with walnuts if you want).
Refrigerate till hard.
Mould into tall obelisks - about 2 golf-balls worth per cookie - and place on a baking tray.
Bake at 180 degrees celsius (350F) until golden. About 10-15 mins.
Remove and cool.
Serve either warm or refrigerated. (They’re not as good when at room-temperature.)
